Biscuit Eating Giraffe

Chalace Bennett

Mama Monkey invents new ways to prepare food on Apricot Island—washing potatoes in the salty ocean, drying apricots in the sun, and baking apricot-potato biscuits. Her friend Susie and the other monkeys copy everything she does, which annoys Mama at first.

But when a tall giraffe named Greg starts eating her biscuits, and all the monkeys begin sharing their biscuits with him too, Mama realizes that being copied isn't so bad. Her inventions have brought joy to the whole island.
